Tools & Technology

From research and development to real life, we’re using advanced technology to keep our clients connected to the building process and enable our team members to work more efficiently and safely.

Defining our tech-forward philosophy

We’re using technology to elevate the building process by digitizing workflows, catalyzing efficiency, and creating data-rich environments—shaping the future of construction. We prefer sharp tools over shiny objects, hand-selecting the best instruments for each job.

Virtual construction

We’re obsessed with accuracy and efficiency. HITT’s full portfolio of virtual capabilities make every aspect of planning, collaborating, and executing your project a comprehensive and seamless experience. From preconstruction through post-construction facility operation, HITT’s virtual construction team ensures every project is built and operated per its intended design.

Tech-enabled construction

Our digital toolbox is filled with cutting-edge solutions like laser scanning, robotics, and wearable technology that drive quality, productivity, precision, and safety on our projects.

Data-driven decisions

Through the use of technology, HITT gathers project-related and mission-critical data to inform leadership decisions and provides accurate, real-time insights for any challenge.

HITT’s Virtual Philosophy

Before your vision can be constructed on-site, HITT brings it to digital life. Planning projects in deep digital environments optimizes all facets of construction operations.

HITT was the first U.S. firm to implement Hilti’s semi-autonomous Jaibot on a large-scale site. By deploying the robot to drill elevated holes throughout the 350,000-square-foot, 11-story WMATA headquarters, work was completed in nearly one-fourth the time. This relieved workers from the strenuous and potentially dangerous task of locating and drilling holes overhead, and instead, they could shift focus to more valuable tasks, such as installing systems and other project milestones.
