Site Workforce

HITT’s site workforce plays an essential role in the success of our projects, and has since the company was founded. In the earliest years, HITT was a small paint and decorating company; site labor was performed by six trade employees, plus members of the Hitt family. As the company grew, more staff was needed to maintain the high standard of quality HITT is known for.

Today more than 140 laborers, painters, drivers, carpenter helpers, carpenters, service carpenters and foremen form our site workforce nationwide, and are critical to our operations. These dedicated team members provide consistency throughout our projects and are an invaluable resource, helping to ensure clean, organized, and safe jobsites.  “HITT is one of the only general contractors to maintain an in-house workforce,” said Labor Manager Andrew Rice. “This team is responsible for quality workmanship and reliable cleanliness of the spaces we build—they understand the company and its values, and what’s expected to get HITT done.”

“While I’ve had the chance to work for some of the best thinkers and managers in the industry here at HITT, it is the hourly workforce that is the core of the business,” shared Service Carpenter Carlos Arevalo-Lopez, who has been with the company for 26 years. “These guys ensure that the work we put behind our name consistently meets the same high standards we’ve delivered for the last 80 years.”
