Sheila joined HITT in 2013 as its General Counsel. She handles all legal matters for the company, including executive oversight of HITT’s Risk Management and Safety departments. Sheila sits on HITT's corporate steering committee, the company's governing body, and serves as a strategic adviser for the future business direction of the organization. Prior to joining HITT, Sheila practiced law for eight years in the Washington, DC region with a focus on construction law and government contracts.
Sheila has extensive experience with contract drafting and negotiations, claim advice, strategies for contract administration, and dispute resolution and litigation on a wide spectrum of government and private commercial construction projects. Her Bar and Court Admissions include Virginia, District of Columbia, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
