Overview
The George Washington University Hospital Comprehensive Breast Care Center combines multidisciplinary breast care services and state-of-the-art technologies unavailable at any other breast center in the Washington, DC metro area. With an open design and spa-like interior, the center is a comforting setting in which patients can receive comprehensive breast care. This is an incredibly important healthcare facility for GWUH, and the healthcare construction team delivered a project on-time with zero lost man hours, enabling GWUH to continue providing the level of care its patients require.
The GWUH Breast Care Center project involved complete floor demolition of the eighth floor and partial demolition of the ninth floor. The space was converted into the new Breast Imaging and Mammography Center, which includes a new MRI suite on the ninth floor and mammography exam rooms and support program on the eighth floor.
