Overview
For more than a decade, HITT Contracting has provided construction services for the historic Hay-Adams Hotel, located across from the White House. Recent projects included a massive renovation to restore the classic ambiance of this landmark hotel, involving the demolition and renovation of more than 140 guest rooms and suites, along with the replacement of mechanical systems.
Guest room finishes included new carpet, wall covering, marble additions, custom mirrors, millwork and accessories, as well as repairs to existing plaster. Structural modifications were also made in order to install an elevator shaft and new roofing, which included a rooftop terrace slab.
