Overview
FTI Consulting, a global business advisory firm, brought HITT on to provide construction services for a build-out of their new headquarters located in the Penn Quarter neighborhood of Washington, DC. Having completed multiple projects for the international advising firm across the country over more than eight years, the HITT Law Firms team set out to meet and exceed FTI Consulting’s expectations.
The client was seeking a new, modern space for the lobby reception and sleek upgrades to the conference center space, as well as an upgraded and functional catering kitchen. Our team installed a polished concrete topping in the reception area, which took careful collaboration to ensure proper positioning without errors or damages.
Additionally, the team positioned custom light wood veneer light boxes in the reception area. The team created custom-built “row houses” in the cafe to provide a splash of color and vibrance in the space for visitors and employees.
This project involved long lead times for multiple items and materials, but the team was able to communicate effectively with all project team members and completed the project on time and on budget, with the space achieving LEED Silver certification.
