Overview

Enviva, the world’s largest producer of wood pellets, was founded with the commitment to develop a cleaner energy alternative to fossil fuels. Enviva hired HITT as the general contractor for their complex, first generation build-out. The project was built with an open concept in mind and included unique design features with open, exposed ceiling concepts and wood flooring that extended to the walls and ceilings. The project included construction of conference rooms, open office space, private offices, reception area, and a pantry.

The space included challenging coordinations of the light fixture layouts that set into the wood wall in the reception area. The electrician and millworker coordinated their efforts and worked side-by-side to template the light fixtures into the wall to ensure a proper installation at the proper angles.
