Renovations

Overview

HITT Hospitality hit a high note with the renovation of the DoubleTree by Hilton in downtown Nashville. Owned by Walton Street Capital and operated by Stepstone Hospitality, the 40-year-old property made its debut in May with a new upscale lobby area, bar, buffet, updated dining room, meeting rooms, guestrooms and bathrooms.

Key project elements included the renovation of the motor reception and main lobby reception areas, re-designed feature stair with a brick accent wall, upgraded public space restrooms, new millwork at the bar and buffet.

HITT refreshed 338 guest rooms with new paint, wallcovering, bathroom tile, and barn doors. Forty guest bathrooms received tub-to-shower conversions. HITT also coordinated new fire alarm upgrades throughout the facility.

The program manager, BKG Services, oversaw the design team and the construction process. The renovation was designed by architecture firm RBA Group in collaboration with interior design experts from The Gettys Group.
