The interior renovation included modernizing 20 restrooms, downsizing a live data center, upgrading MEP systems, and exposing more than 100,000 sf of ceilings. Through extensive utility coordination between our team, the Owner, and subcontractors, the exterior staircase was seamlessly integrated into the existing façade with masonry modifications and new metal paneling. Finishes include photo-luminescent stair treads, a curtainwall glass system, ACM metal panels, stand-alone HVAC systems, and drywall ceilings. Despite the challenges of building above the main power and gas service for the existing building, we constructed the steel-framed stairwell with long lead finishes on time and under budget. The parking lot expansion involved the addition of a large landscaping and irrigation package, and a robust tree-saving package that included the addition of four eight-foot retaining walls to protect existing trees. Through heavy coordination and planning with the Owner, architect, and engineer, our team completed the parking lot in an aggressive 12 weeks.
