HITT completed this interior build-out in the heart of downtown Houston in a building called 609 Main. The client wanted the interior of the building to reflect the geometry of 609 Main’s exterior. Multiple ceiling patterns and millwork details throughout the space reflect the geometric shapes found on the exterior of the building. An octagonal pattern adorns the ceiling of the main conference room and floor tiles were meticulously placed in an aesthetically pleasing pattern. The office features a raised floor system with underfloor pressurized air that protects the quality of the indoor air and interconnecting stairs between the two floors. The new staircase also serves as a forum for presentations and other professional and social activities. With 36,700 sf to re-build and 72 different light fixtures to install, the 24-week hard move-in date made for a tight timeline. HITT completed this project on-time and to the client’s full satisfaction despite the hard move-in date.
