Overview
This LEED Gold project incorporated extensive underground and structural packages including state-of-theart interior and exterior amenities, an elegant curtainwall and metal panel façade, and a comprehensive security system. Building L is one of the largest mission critical core and shell
data facilities in Virginia. The 1.1 million-sf building houses sixteen data halls that contain 96 MW of capacity––enough power to run a small town.
The exterior package for Building L included an in-depth underground integration of new site utilities, telecommunication duct banks, and landscape package that utilizes reclaimed water.
Hardscapes included contemporary architectural elements consisting of Italian high-end knee walls and stone pavers. The facility’s interior includes a sleek, modern reception area, large conference rooms with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology, and lounge and dining spaces with large windows.
The team worked double shifts throughout the project’s aggressive timeline to finish one month ahead of schedule.
