Overview
The Building D Suite 130 project was a 30,000-sf, fast-paced construction fit-out of a high-security data center within an existing core and shell structure connecting to an operating data center; the project was completed in fewer than 14 weeks. The project also included the construction of an exterior 8,000-sf generator yard along with building road modification for the adjacent client.
The project included the following major scope items:
- 20,000 sf of raised access flooring
- Rooftop mechanical platform for DSE skids; approximately 7,000 sf and 50 tons of material
- Replacement of slab on grade; 9,000 sf and 400 cy of concrete
- UPS / battery rooms; 7,000 sf
The project included the following major equipment:
- 40 50-ton computer room air condensers
- 20 50-ton computer room air conditioners
- Four 50-ton rooftop units
- Eight 600 kVA UPS systems with battery cabinets
- One 2,700 CFM makeup air unit
- Eight roof-mounted exhaust fans
- Four 1.5-ton split system units
- Four 2,500 kVA utility transformers
- Four 2,500 kVA generators
- 16 300 kVA power distribution units
- Four 100A automatic transfer switches
- Four 150A automatic transfer switches
