Overview

The Building D Suite 130 project was a 30,000-sf, fast-paced construction fit-out of a high-security data center within an existing core and shell structure connecting to an operating data center; the project was completed in fewer than 14 weeks. The project also included the construction of an exterior 8,000-sf generator yard along with building road modification for the adjacent client.

 

The project included the following major scope items:

  • 20,000 sf of raised access flooring
  • Rooftop mechanical platform for DSE skids; approximately 7,000 sf and 50 tons of material
  • Replacement of slab on grade; 9,000 sf and 400 cy of concrete
  • UPS / battery rooms; 7,000 sf

The project included the following major equipment:

  • 40 50-ton computer room air condensers
  • 20 50-ton computer room air conditioners
  • Four 50-ton rooftop units
  • Eight 600 kVA UPS systems with battery cabinets
  • One 2,700 CFM makeup air unit
  • Eight roof-mounted exhaust fans
  • Four 1.5-ton split system units
  • Four 2,500 kVA utility transformers
  • Four 2,500 kVA generators
  • 16 300 kVA power distribution units
  • Four 100A automatic transfer switches
  • Four 150A automatic transfer switches
