Located in Dupont Circle, the hotel contracted HITT to completely demolish and reconfigure the space to reflect the level of elegance and service the premier hotel has come to be known for. During this renovation, the hotel remained fully operational and utilized a secondary entrance as a the temporary lobby, providing logistical challenges for the team to overcome with deliveries, noise disturbances to guests, and cleanliness. Included in the renovation was a full demolition and rework of MEP systems, and a reconfiguration of the hotel space. Additional features of work include the new fireplace, new bar, new pantry, new exterior patio and sitting area, and updated back-of-house office spaces. The team also renovated and upgraded the existing kitchen areas. The HITT team installed all new finishes, including millwork, stone flooring, and a custom fireplace. Being an extremely high-end lobby, focal points to note are the stone flooring throughout, the feature ceiling details at the bar, the feature fireplace, custom wall coverings, and high-end millwork finishes throughout the entire space. Now fully open, the Fairfax at Embassy Row has a bright and vibrant welcoming entrance for guests to enjoy.
