Overview

In the construction of the new Hyatt Place hotel in Arlington, Virginia’s Courthouse neighborhood, HITT built eight floors above ground and two levels of below-ground parking.

The hotel features 168 rooms with 13 different room types, a full kitchen, meeting room, and a fitness center. Extensive underpinning was required to stabilize the adjacent building next to the hotel’s 70-space underground parking garage.

Art plays a key role in the design of the building with commissioned artwork throughout and public art that acts as a bench outside the hotel lobby.

Hyatt Place achieved LEED Gold certification by utilizing recycled building materials, energy efficient fixtures, and natural light while reducing potable water use.
