We are proud to share exciting news about the future of HITT and a new era of leaders. Today, our third-generation owners Jim Millar and Brett Hitt become Co-Chairmen of the newly formed Board, and Russell Hitt is named Chairman Emeritus. Three executive vice presidents assume leadership of the firm – Kim Roy is promoted to CEO, and Jeremy Bardin and Drew Mucci are named Co-Presidents. Together, the new principals will lead our company into the future of building.
Jim and Brett, whose grandparents founded the company 80 years ago, said, “This succession strategy has been our vision for years. Drew, Jeremy, and Kim have strong records of success at HITT and were intentionally developed as the next generation of leaders.”
The three long-time colleagues have full responsibility and accountability for HITT’s success, each with their own area of focus. Jeremy will provide executive oversight of our booming Technology sector, and drive national growth in current and new geographies. Drew will provide increased leadership for eight key market sectors and two regional offices, working to improve and expand HITT’s operations, preconstruction, and project solutions. Kim is responsible for all corporate operations, defining key initiatives, identifying emerging markets, and executing the strategic vision of the Board. Notably, she is currently the only female CEO in the ENR Top 100 Contractors (2017).
In recent years, our company has experienced significant growth, with more than 1,000 team members in nine offices across the country. Brett said, “We decided to establish the Board so that we can elevate leadership from within and position our company to meet the demands of Clients nationwide. There couldn’t be a better time – HITT is poised for continued success, boasting strong earnings and responsible growth.”
As for Brett and Jim, they remain HITT’s sole owners. Jim reiterates, “This company remains a family-owned business, built on relationships and trust – we are deeply committed to those who work for and with us. Brett and I are dedicated to the company’s success, as we believe the best is yet to come. ”
Additional leaders have been named alongside the new principals. Josh Foreso is promoted to Senior Vice President and leader of two sectors: Corporate Office – Base and Multifamily. Evan Antonides is promoted to Senior Vice President to lead the Technology sector and Sara Collins is promoted to Senior Vice President and leader of the Healthcare sector. Matt Vester is promoted to Vice President and leader of the law firms sector. Senior Vice President Peter Thaler assumes leadership of the Richmond regional office, expanding the company’s presence in Virginia.
“Developing the next generation of leaders is the ultimate investment in the future of our business,” Brett concludes.
