Project scope consisted of a first-generation, 45th-floor interior build-out of a high-end law firm space in a LEED building. The high-end finishes included custom-designed terrazzo flooring, millwork, stone and metal work. Additionally, the office now has multiple video conferencing rooms. With an eye for detail, the owner and design team hand-selected wood veneers and stone slabs. HITT painted the entire project (walls, glass, doors and even furniture templates) on the floor prior to framing to resolve field conditions. The 20-week schedule was met through detailed coordination with the Los Angeles architect and the DC construction manager, and many custom items were shipped via air freight / dedicated truck to meet deadlines. The lighting package included the installation of more than 600 linear feet of energy-efficient LED cove lighting. Further, there were many modifications specifically created to fit custom artwork; for example, the custom-made conference center tables with stone tops required structural calculations.
