Overview
Pamela Baughman joined HITT as vice president of health and safety in 2025, bringing her more than 25 years of extensive construction safety experience in high-risk industries, including aerospace, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, and technology. In her role, she oversees all aspects of HITT’s award-winning safety program and ensures operational compliance in every jurisdiction nationwide. This includes overseeing HITT’s Culture of Care with all HITT team members and any of the more than 9,000 trade partners working with HITT nationwide. Along with her staff of full-time safety team members, Pamela is responsible for implementing and adhering to policies and procedures that protect anyone who could encounter our projects, including team members, clients, subcontractors, or the general public, never compromising standards or welfare.
Prior to joining HITT, Pamela led global construction safety initiatives for Johnson & Johnson and oversaw design, construction, and commissioning safety for Microsoft’s hyperscale data center projects. She previously held key safety positions at NASA and Jacobs, managed health and safety teams in response to major oil and gas crises, and developed high-risk management programs for global construction and engineering firms.
With extensive expertise in risk management, safety in design, and proactive safety strategies, Pamela has led the development of global high-risk management programs. She believes that strong safety leadership, innovation, discipline in execution, and a diverse, inclusive culture are key to building and maintaining a world-class safety program.
