Project scope consisted of a first-generation, high-end, interior office build-out for an international law firm. A major structural element of the project was the staircase, which required modification of the base building structure to accommodate the new internal staircase. The staircase has custom-made stone treads, a steel and glass railing system, and a two-story wood wall. The design team hand-selected stone tiles and slabs to maintain consistency. This aggressive, 18-week schedule was achieved through detailed coordination with the Baltimore architect and DC client. Many custom items were shipped via dedicated trucks to accommodate this schedule. The design also included 600 feet of DIRTT walls and 200 feet of DORMA glass wall systems with custom German handles.
