American Forest & Paper Association

Washington, DC

American Forest & Paper Association’s new headquarters features a myriad of unique features to display and incorporate the organization’s core mission as an advocate for the wood products manufacturing industry. The project features reclaimed hardwood flooring from local Virginia barns, the reclaimed wood is strategically placed throughout the space in the elevator lobby, feature walls and on countertops. Graphics and signage were used throughout the space to display and highlight the different products, uses and features of wood product manufacturing. Speaking directly to the company's operations, paper rolls are encased in a glass wall, a combination of MDF edged panels and custom printed and applied decals. A custom cardboard feature wall consisting of hexacomb cardboard donated by the client is also included in the design. Custom logo and lettering in wood, film designs and signage greet guests as they enter the space. The lighting throughout the space highlights the special features, even incorporating cardboard into the lighting shades in the cafe.
