First Tower Crane

Twenty-eight years ago, our very first tower crane went up on the Washington Hospital Center campus, literally taking our business to new heights.

That job, constructing the Hospital’s Cancer Institute, demonstrated our shift from strictly interior construction to full-service commercial contracting. It meant more to us than growth or visibility, though—the opening of the building was dedicated in memory of Warren Hitt, a fitting tribute to the man who started it all.

While we’ve further expanded our service offerings and project scope in the years since, we never tire of the sight of a tower crane with the HITT logo rising high above the skyline. To us, it reminds us of where we’ve been and inspires us to keep building.
